OBJECT DESIGN ASSIGNMENT 3 -- HOLLOW FORM CONCEPT
Hello! I really wanted to create a variety of different shapes with this one, some I had more trouble with than others.
Here is my first concept, my inspo for it was a sort of apocalyptic western mountain range. Some kind of landscape that looks like futuristic but still desolate and natural. Here is idea no.2, for this I wanted to make some kind of fancy whiskey glass, something the corporate villain of a dystopian movie would drink out of.Here is hollow no.3, this one I had a hard time figuring out, and I still am not fully happy with the final product, but it's far too late at night when I'm writing this to go back and work more on it. My idea for this one was a giant alien base in a video game that's outside of the explorable area of the map and has no explainable way of how people enter or exit it.Here is no.4, the idea for this one was a lighthouse that has been overtaken by a giant squid which now slumbers in it, but not all of his legs fit.For no.5, I started with the idea of a chalice of some kind, but I started to play with the bending tool and the grid effect the shaded option on rhino gave them reminded me of skyscrapers, so I instead came up with this tall impossible city that resides on a strange cliff platform. The idea for this one was more practical than conceptual, I wanted to make a little jewelry plate that could hold all kinds of jewelry. You can lay your bracelets and necklaces in the middle, and then put your rings on the pegs on the outer ring. An alternative design could be with a sort of stand so that you can hang your bracelets and necklaces around the rings with them hanging off, and put the rings on the middle platform.
Those are all of my concepts, thank you for giving them a look! =]
